Gum Disease Treatment

--- Red, swollen gums are a red flag for one thing: gum disease. If you have the symptoms, you're not alone. More than 80% of adults have some form of gum disease. Fortunately, there are many effective and pain-free gum disease treatments. For gingivitis, the mildest form of gum disease, treatment typically involves a thorough dental cleaning, followed by daily brushing and flossing. Advanced gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, requires scaling and root planning to remove stubborn deposits below the gum line. Laser gum surgery, a new alternative to scaling and root planning, uses beams of high-speed light to remove plaque and tartar buildup. If non-surgical methods of gum disease treatment are ineffective, a gingivectomy, or periodontal surgery, may be necessary.

Gum Recession Treatment

--- Gum recession treatment can be localized on one particular tooth or generalized in the mouth. Gum recession treatment can help correct root sensitivity to hot and cold foods as well as an unsightly appearance of the gum and tooth. Also, gum recession can predispose to worsening recession and expose the root surface leading to root caries and root gouging. Gum recessions are easily repaired with simple tissue graft surgery.

Crown Lengthening

--- This procedure can be done for the correction of a gummy smile, as well as make a restorative or cosmetic dental procedure possible when your tooth is decayed, broken below the gum line, or has insufficient tooth structure for a restoration, such as a crown or bride. Crown lengthening adjusts the gum and bone level to expose more of the tooth so it can be restored.

During this procedure excess gum and bone tissue is reshaped to expose more of the natural tooth.

Cosmetic Periodontal

--- Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory degradation of the tissue and bone supporting the teeth. If periodontal disease left untreated often causes irreversible damage to the bone surrounding the teeth. Periodontitis can be mild, moderate or advanced. Fortunately, Mild case of periodontitis can be treated before significant bone and tissue destruction occurs, usually non-surgically. Moderate and Advanced Periodontitis is usually treated surgically which often requires surgical recon touring of the supporting bone to prevent future periodontal disease (Osseous surgery) or may include bone grafting or regeneration.

Sinus Lift-Graft

--- When teeth are lost in the back areas of the upper jaw the sinuses in that area often expand and compromise dental implant placement. A sinus lift with bone grafting procedure helps to restore this area back to normal and generates new bone, making dental implant placement possible.

Dental Implants

--- Dental implants are an extraordinary blend of science and art. Made of titanium, dental implants are securely anchored into the jaw and serve as roots for dental crowns. In many cases, dental implants – and mini dental implants, the smaller version -- are considered the best option for replacing missing teeth. They are also used to replace dental bridges or partial dentures, or to provide support for dentures. Dental implants offer several advantages over other tooth replacement options. They look, feel and function just like real teeth! With dental implants, surrounding teeth are left untouched. Finally, dental implants are exceptionally reliable. Year after year, dental implants have had high success rates and typically last 15-20 years.
